First of all, the price/value ratio is great! We booked a room number to visit Art Basel. Host provided us with free public transportation voucher which we used all our stay. There's a tram connection with the city center (around 25 mins from the nearest station). The great advantage was that we had a free parking spot. Although we had a shared bathroom, it was so clean that we didn't have a feeling that it's shared at all. In our room (which was facing the road and the green field) we had a beautiful terrace with two chairs and a coffee table. We used to enjoy the beautiful sunset time there. The nearest cafes and restaurants were in 10-15 mins walking distance as well as the nearest grocery store.

I stayed at the Silo Hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The building, originally a cacao factory from 1912, is modern and unique, creating a great atmosphere. Check-in was easy, and I received a Basel card for free transportation and discounted gallery entries, which was a nice bonus. The location is excellent, close to shops, including a large Coop market, and a German train station for travel. There are also nearby bus stops and a park by the river. My room was spotless, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff was incredibly helpful 💜 I absolutely loved the co-working spaces and the relaxing area filled with plants, books, and cozy furniture. They are incredibly eco-friendly as well. Definitely highly recommended!

The key pick-up and instructions were very simple and straight forward. You could already tell that the owner paid a lot of attention to details and allowing the guests to feel very welcomed. I highly highly recommend this place for its terrace. It is extremely rare to have such a space in the heart of Basel. We felt so spoiled!! After a long conference day, it is fantastic to settle down in the evening on the terrace. The drink options and kitchen were also fully stocked. We would definitely come back!

The room is spacious and well-lit with two big windows and everything was spotless clean. There are plenty facilities for cooking and serving food. The bathroom and kitchen are well-equipped with everything one might need on their trip. The host is very helpful in explaining everything at the check-in. The property is located in a residential area, so it is relatively quiet. There are super markets and take-out possibilities close-by and the tram stop is a short stroll away. We highly recommend this place.
