The room was lovely and bed was comfortable. I think you do need a longer stay to fully appreciate all it has to offer, but saying that it’s also a great stopping points if like us your travelling around. The coffee was great as well and my husband enjoyed the cookies. As silly as this sounds I thought the small milk bottle was a lovely touch.

This is a true jem of Georgia hospitality which you will not find very often. When entering the little town of St Marys with its Spanish moss loaded trees not far from the little harbor, on the the right hand side you will reach the old villa with its porches on two levels. What a warm appearance! The owner Mardja welcomed us so friendly in this house which with all its overwhelming interior decor brings you back a hundred years in time. Rooms with all modern amenities are all following a bit some movie themes - ours was Gone with the Wind. But it all still remains authentic keeping the time travel character. In the afternoon, Mardja will serve you some homemade cake and coffee on the porch, dinner can be taken in one of the little restaurants at the harbor (literally 2 minutes walking distance). And finally there is some complimentary red or white wine which you can have on the porch in the quite and peaceful evening atmosphere. The next morning the breakfast is served fully styled on porcelain (we had fruits, homemade cake, freshly pressed orange juice and brewed coffee not to forget the tasty omelette soufflé). If you are to make a trip to Cumberland Island or just for a few days to ‚switch off‘ from a busy town life, do not hesitate to go here.

Lovely big room and appreciated the spa bath. .So very relaxing. A great balcony with a wonderful view over Helen. An easy walk into Helen. Breakfast was amazing in the lovely dining room of the property and the cook was so welcoming and happy to help.So well catered for in every way. Snacks and drinks and bags of ice available from the kitchen up to 9pm to take away. Very peaceful and relaxing to stay. The gentleman who owns the property was just so helpful with information of things to do in and around Helen.Staff were wonderful.
