Easy drive into town for groceries, restaurants, etc. The national park is right behind the chalet and we walked through the forest to Black Lake using helpful directions from the host. Since I was there primarily for all-day hiking in the park and the weather in the early May was rainy and my cloths were all covered with dirt, I very much appreciated having a washing machine. Like the others here, I also very liked the hosts who seem to be nice and very pleasant people.
