The man running the place lives somewhere in that villa, so comes quickly. He reacts to phone calls (WhatsApp rather not or slow with a typical Italian delay) if you need anything. 5. It’s a charming, old-fashioned family home, like stepping back in time 100 years but with modern conveniences - really atmospheric. It has a great location, lovely garden, but the best thing is the host, Roberto - a genuinely lovely man who makes you feel incredibly welcome. He says he’ll make you the best breakfast and it’s true - he does! He also makes the best coffee we had in Italy. Trust Roberto’s restaurant recommendations - he knows what he’s talking about.
