The villa itself was beautifully styled with traditional Sicilian charm, and having our own terrace with private beach access was a highlight. Being within walking distance to supermarkets and dining options made our stay convenient and enjoyable. My husband did the Messina Strait swim and this was an ideal base. The location is between central city cathedral and harbor. The ferry to both Villa San Giovanni (Blue Ferry) and Reggio di Calabria (Liberty Lines) are both almost under the window, and train station is a further 3 minutes' walking away. The balcony opens to the harbor with good view. Just downstairs is a pizza restaurant favored by locals (I eat with many locals here, and it is the low season for tourism).
