We arrived on the early evening of New Year's Eve and having called basically every restaurant in town, and in the surrounds, we were resigned to having takeaway for dinner, as everything was fill. Then Mike, the owner's husband, made a quick call to friends and they squeezed us into their restaurant (and even gave us a discount). Fantastic! Geraldine and Mike were lovely - friendly and helpful. Easy parking right outside, and a very comfortable stay. The hotel is just over the river from the town, making it quiet, yet only about 2 minutes walk into the main street. Good breakfast in the morning, after which we had time to walk around town without pressure to check out.

I loved the whole experience at the hilltop my favourite part was the hot tub. We went for my partners birthday and the host set up banners and balloons and a bottle of prosecco and chocolates. Best stay wev ever had anywhere. So relaxed and so private.

We had a very pleasant stay at this house. It has a lot of character and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The furnishings give it a cozy and authentic feel, and everything was clean and well-kept. The location was convenient, and the host was kind and helpful. Overall, it was a charming place to stay at.
