We had a lovely stay at Sanduk homestay. Would definitely recommend staying here! - early check in and pick up from the busstop were possible early in the morning. - Breakfast is very big and you can enjoy it at the seating area outside. - The room and the bathroom were clean - The owner was super friendly and helpful, he helped us arrange a guide to show us the area and he helped us with planning the next stop on our trip and the bustickets. - The homestay is near the traditional village Kete Kesu (only 5 min walk!) - You can rent a scooter - If you dont have a scooter the owner will arrange a driver to rantepao for dinner and pick up after dinner (free of charge)

Beautiful homestay, with the best host. Pak Imanuel is very kind and helpful and makes the best pancakes!! The view from the homestay is amazing as it is right in the middle of the ricefields. The rooms are also nice and clean. If you go to Toraja, stay there;)

We had a wonderful stay. Views around are very beautiful. Very tasty food. Familly owning the homestay is very kind. Yansen took us to see the funeral ceremony and showed us around the town which was very interesting. He speaks very good english and is very knowledgable on the history and culture. Speaking about homestay, the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. There was a hot shower. Also bed was very comfortable. We rented a scooter and had a ride around town and surrounding areas, which was very beautiful. 10/10 expierence overall, would definetely recommend and I would love to come back again!

I loved the location with amazing views from the balcony of the property. Paulus and his wife were both extremely helpful with any requests such as organising trips around Toraja and event drove me to the bus station on my return. Breakfast was delicious also! I found it a great opportunity also to meet other guests travelling around Sulawesi.

We had a great time here. We spent three nights here and the owner Wila is truly a fantastic person. Wila is also a very good guide, he knows everything about the beautiful and special culture of Toraja. We were lucky to experience the traditional funeral ceremony which for us was a very impressive experience. Wila also took us too all the graves and other amazing places around Rantepao. Wila also knows the best places for a good lunch and dinner. Wila can also prepare a very good and nice cop of coffee whats also very important! I had a great time with Wila and i hope we'll meet again. Mama Paulien and grandma are also very warm and pleasant persons and we're glad that we've meet them. Thanks for everything Wila!

Location is absolutely stunning. We had a full traditional tonkonan all for ourselves. Very spacious and super clean and very well decorated. The surrounding garden is very well maintained. The view on the lumbung is something special. Breakfast was a delicious nasi goreng. Hot water and great water pressure in the very spacious and clean toilet. The real gem of this place is the super welcoming and helpful owners. They went above and beyond any expectations to help us. They pick us up from Rantepao at 6am, gave us breakfast while waiting for the room to be available. Helped us with an issue on our SIM card and they also gave us super precious information on how to explore Toraja their traditions, especially on the Rambu solo. Be aware that this is a rural area and reception can be very poor both on your phone and on the WiFi.

Meyske, our host was very warm and welcoming. In a short time me and my girlfriend got to know her quite well because she is very open. We even, quite literally, were taken into her family as we had the honor of joining her family to a ceremony as guests. Learning about the area and its culture and traditions, it was really nice staying with Meyske as she explains very well and shows you the amazing sites. I would highly recommend Meyske as guide as she also makes you feel very comfortable, also while visiting ceremonies which can sometimes be intense. Besides the amazing energy and atmosphere, Meyske and her mother also prepared delicious breakfast and dinner every day. It was a very natural and local-like experience staying with Meyske and her mother. Memories we will never forget.

We had a wonderful stay at Nuansa Homestay. Aldi and his whole family made us feel so at home during our visit. He was very knowledgeable about the different activities we should do in the area, and helped us organize our travel schedule to make the most of Toraja. I loved the breakfast and the coffee, and the facilities had everything we needed. The Homestay is in a very convenient location close to the main city center, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet in nature. I would highly recommend Nuansa for anyone wanting to have a more authentic stay in Toraja!
