The facilities were clean and the most important for my wife was the fact that there were no bugs in the room or other common rooms of the hotel. The staff was very friendly but professional and always ready to help. I recommend to try out the Sri Lankan breakfast. It is delicious. Even during our day of check-out we could keep our luggages at the reception and use the hotels swimming pool. Shout out to the manager of the hotel, he informed us about the pricea for tuk tuks and boomed us a transport to the airport at an even lower prices than via pickme up application.

The family who own the property are incredibly kind and helpful with anything you might need while you’re in Marissa. I loved the simple designed room. They felt spacious and clean. I had to make an important video call while I was staying there and the WiFi worked perfectly. Also the rooms are sealed up so it’s pretty much impossible to get mosquitos in there unless you leave the door open.

This is a beautiful hostel with amazing views and great clean facilities! It’s been the nicest one I’ve stayed in thus far! So close to the beach and great local restaurants! And the walk there Is beautiful!The hosts were very kind and lovely and even helped me plan my bus route up to ella! I highly recommend and was sad to leave!

The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away.
