They served delicious breakfast for a nominal fee. Could have a warm shower. Enjoyed talking with owner. Very close to all the Lamu action. Owner had connections with others who could help with boat transfers to airport, town tours, boat race viewing etc

Situado en Lamu, cerca de Lamu Fort, de Gallery Baraka y de Lamu Museum, JamboHouse Lamu ofrece WiFi gratis, y sus huéspedes pueden disfrutar de una terraza. Al llegar alguien me esperaba en el aeropuerto (servicio gratuito) para acompañarme al hostel. Esto siempre se agradece. El dueño, Arnold, que es viajero también, es un pozo sin fondo de información, que te facilita las cosas desde el primer momento. El hostel que es sencillo pero coqueto, está dentro del casco viejo. Llegar cada día y cada noche hasta allí es un placer viajero. El área es muy segura. Tiene un roof top muy aprovechable.

Beautiful hotel with the best breakfast in Lamu. Their fresh baked bread is famous. The staff were so wonderful and went above and beyond to look after guests and the rooms and shared spaces are beautifully styled and really comfortable. I spent a lot of time on the rooftop enjoying the view. I had 3 fans in my room which was great as I didn't get any of the cool breeze that came through the upper floors at night (I was on the lowest guest floor and facing another building).

It was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had. The house is a traditional Swahili house, with a beautiful terrace and views, a tastefully decorated interior with all the necessary amenities and a well stacked kitchen, which is always a plus with kids. Our host Abadalla is quite simply the best host I’ve ever had - and we travel quite a bit. He was kind, thoughtful and basically carefully planned our entire stay, coordinating tours, recommending awesome local spots and day activities along the way. He took take of it all, from airport pick up, to sunset Dhow, to Lamu tour, he negotiated the prices and made the trip ultra smooth. He also served us beautiful breakfast every morning, with a large variety of fruits, Swahili pastries, omelettes, etc. He also stocked the fridge and made sure we always had drinking water for a very reasonable fee. The nicest and warmest guy, who also shared many special moments with us, and shared stories and history of Lamu as well. We would highly recommend Shela Bliss to anyone. An outstanding experience!

The locations is a gem. Away from the HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF LAMU. There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

Contando con un jardín, salón compartido, terraza y WiFi gratis, Samaki House está ubicado en Lamu, a 2 minutos a pie de 18th Century Swahili House Museum y a 300 metros de Lamu Museum. I just loved the interior design of the place, the rooftop, the furniture... The room was really spacious, the bathroom too. The breakfast was good, Moses who was managing the place is very kind and helpful. It's very close to the pier and it was easy to reach.

There was a problem with the electricity (or AC) in the building when we arrived, but a new place closeby was quickly arranged for us. Other issues we encountered in the new place were quickly addressed as well.
