In the Cotswold village of Frampton Mansell, The Crown Inn is a 17th-century ‘cider house’ with log fires, traditional home-cooked food, locally brewed real ales and good company! Super friendly people, very delicious dinner, comfortable beds. What else to wish? Maybe a breakfast offer could be improved. But overall 9.5 of 10.

Short walking distance into town with its many restaurants, bars & shops. We didn’t have a car and managed to either walk (we like to walk long distances) or bus to nearby towns. The guest house was lovely. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and bed (double size) and bedding very comfortable. Our hosts Wendy & Clive were so friendly and accommodating. Included breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We were celebrating an anniversary while there and Wendy added a few surprise treats.

The b&b is well maintained by the lovely Mark and his family, the property, the room, the atmosphere, amazing stay The room had all the facilities you could possibly ask for and the bed was comfortable. The area, although seems secluded, is actually extremely nice for walking and discovering all the public footpaths, loads of friendly dogs and gorgeous gardens. Stable Lodge’s website had extremely useful recommendations for things to do and places to eat (I would recommend our picks - kibou Japanese restaurant per food and 270 climbing park, lower&upper slaughter per activity)

Kate was a great host and she tried to do her best to make me feel comfortable. I'll definitely come back once I come back to Stroud.

Wow, what a host! After 2 months of travelling it was magical to be treated like a family member - our host was so warm, welcoming and thought of so many special details that made our stay very memorable. The room and ensuite were both very large and there was everything we needed for our stay. We got the most incredible breakfast provided, with everything chosen with such care and was delicious. We cannot wait to come back and stay again.
