La cocina estaba muy completa con todo para desayunar, muy atentos por dejar una botella de agua en la habitación. El baño es compartido pero excelente todo.

The owner quickly responded to all communication and assisted with a late checkin. The following morning, we had a wonderful full breakfast prepared for us and were greeted with a warm welcome. We would definitely return for another stay.

We stayed overnight at Old Hunters Lodge as it was close to Whipsnade Zoo and we wanted an early start at the zoo the next morning. The property was perfectly located for that, it was easy to get a cab from Luton Station to the location. The hotel itself was lovely, the room was charming. While it was a little loud being under the flight path for luton, we both managed to sleep with our headphones on and we are light sleepers. The staff were exceptional, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Prior to my stay I received a message from Louise and John asking if I wanted to book a table for dinner as we were arriving on Valentine’s Day and it would be busy. I really appreciated them taking that step to ensure we would have a table for dinner on the night we arrived. Dinner was lovely, I was a bit nervous as I am allergic to mushrooms and most of the valentines menu included mushrooms but they made sure my main didn’t include mushrooms. The portions were massive and the food was very good. Breakfast the next morning was also very good and fast, there were lots of options for cooked breakfast as well as juice and cereal for self service and hot drinks from the bar. Overall this was a great stay and I could easily see myself coming back.

The breakfast is possibly the best quality we have had to date, it was delicious, with high quality ingredients sourced from specialist butchers. We were given lots of recommendations for local places to eat and visit. The house is as is shown in the photos. The bed was really comfortable and the bath was larger than normal. David's attention to detail is seen throughout, in the antiques and curiosities he has sourced for the house. A real gem, we'll be back.

What a gem to find on the A1 - Highfield Farm offered a warm comfy haven on a long journey. The room was comfy warm and so clean with a spaceious ensuite. Plenty of room for a family stop over. Also a large lounge available for all guests to share. Breakfast - again excepltional care and attention taken of the guests.
