Use of both rail travel and ferry are free with the guest card provided. The buffet breakfast was superb and could not have been better. But what made the stay totally unique was the amazing view from the room window of the river and village together with the huge open-air model railway complex surrounding the house. The staff were consistently friendly and obliging.

The location was perfect for hiking. I came by public transport and found that I did not need a car to get around. I was able to walk just a few meters and I was on a hiking trial. But take note of the bus timetable if you want to go further, they are not very frequent. The breakfast was amazing and there was even enough food left over to create a sandwich for lunch on my hike. The restaurant food was also delicious and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. It was peaceful and the perfect atmosphere for a back to nature, hiking trip.
