The setting is exceptional - there is no better place to hear and see the full spectrum of the jungle activity day and night. The new argentinian owner, Gonzalo, is fully dedicated to making this place an unforgettable experience for everyone. I especially appreciated all the eco-friendly touches he added to the main building. He is very consciencious and knows Costa Rica inside out. And If you don't usually like bunk beds, give this a try: the high wooden roof make the rooms feel very spacious, and the upper bunk is next to the windows screen and the jungle outside, with a net, privacy curtain, reading light and fan. Top confort. The general vibes of the hostel were chill, and guests were all happy to extend their stay. As a plus, the best grocery store in the region is just down the road.

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. This place is fantastic! Highly recommend it. Sylvio is a great host, and very attentive. The pool was ideal with our kids 5+9 years. Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

All units feature a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. We had a lovely time at Siquirres Mountain Lodge. Inge and her family were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property and grounds are beautiful. It’s a few miles out of Siquirres but easy to get to by car, and only 10 mins away from the starting point for our white water rafting trip (with Exploradores - which we would also highly recommend! 😄). There is a nice local restaurant less than 5 mins walk down the road, where we ate on both nights. We also took Inge’s horses out for a guided ride which was a lovely experience with beautiful views over the hills to Turialba. All in all a wonderful couple of days - and we would recommend very highly. Thank you! 😄

A recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Tortuguero, near Tortuguero Beach, Cabinas Tortuguero Sports Fishing features free WiFi, a private beach area and a garden. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. A unique place to explore Tortuguero. Primo and his family are lovely people and were very helpful to make our trip a very nice stay for us as family with two teenage daughters. It's a place where you can enjoy the quietness in the middle of the beautiful nature. A nice breakfast, great excursions with Angelo as local guide, ....

The units in the bed and breakfast are fitted with a kettle. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and a hair dryer, units at the bed and breakfast also provide guests with free WiFi. At the bed and breakfast, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. We had a lovely stay at Casa Mambo. The room was super comfortable and clean, with fabulous internet and AC! Parking was easy and convenient. All the staff were super kind and helpful. The proximity to Playa Negra is perfect. My stay was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again!

All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. Sergio and Gloria are amazing hosts! We had a wonderful stay in Daneysha and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well maintained, family friendly and hospitable guesthouse when visiting Tortuguero. Also highly recommend Sergio as a guide to the national park.

Really close to the center of Puerto Viejo. Those who assisted me were extremely friendly and helped me with everything.

We loved the location because it was quiet at night, only a 10 minute walk into town, and we felt very safe walking even at night. The parking area is enclosed so the car was secure. Nadia was a really wonderful host - very kind, gracious and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The room had its own mini-refrigerator plus we had access to a full outdoor kitchen, well-stocked with cooking supplies. We just loved lounging on our private balcony and at the shaded pool. The best part was that Black Bamboo provided free unlimited filtered water to drink and morning coffee. After traveling through Costa Rica and seeing how expensive things are (including water), we really appreciated being able to fill our water bottles there. Overall, this was a terrific experience and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

We came to Costa Rica for the wilderness and after visiting La Fortuna and other areas of Costa Rica and seeing no animals we were thrilled when we saw them right on the property. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was amazing, the grounds were like paradise. Love love this place
