Okay, this is a true gem. If you just look for a tropical paradise, look no further. The property is right on the beach, and what beach it is! Totally clean, wide, sandy, with roaring waves that put you to sleep each night. At night, in winter months, five species of turtles come to lay eggs and I saw them each night. There is a river cutting the beach in two; and when you cross the river, the beach becomes just impeccable. Magical. You can even enter the river that runs to the sea and swim upstream. The vistas you get around you are simply breathtaking. I have never seen such beauty in my life and I have traveled quite a bit. The bungalows are simple, but clean and comfortable. The mosquito net worked very well, but there were very few mosquitoes anyway there. I took the Malarone daily, but people around me did not. I asked around the long time residents and no-one ever had malaria, while living on the island. I would not take them pils again. There is a shared toilet and shower there - both very clean and functional. The water in the shower is cold-lukewarm- but you will pray it were colder, since it is hot outside. The owner Tomás is truly very helpful. He speaks ONLY Spanish and Portuguese, but with the help of google translate we were able to communicate very well. He is very helpful and will do anything to accommodate your wishes and needs. He helped with the trip to Isla das Rolas (the Equator trip) as well as with the trek to the foot of Cao Grande. Oh, by the way, you can see Cao Grande from the alcove on the premises or from the point where the river runs to the sea. Also from the river itself. There is wifi at the reception and around, and this wifi is good, reliable and strong. The entire complex is totally eco, powered by solar energy only. Breakfast is included in the price, but dinner can be ordered with Tomás. It is usually fish or octopus and, together with the breakfast can become a bit repetitive so I advise you to bring some provisions with you.

Casa Luis está ubicado en São Tomé y ofrece alojamiento con vistas al jardín, una pileta al aire libre, un jardín, salón compartido y una terraza. Está muy cerca del aeropuerto por lo que para una primera estancia de trámite es perfecto. Nosotros lo aprovechamos más que eso ya que el trato que nos dieron fué muy bueno y como teniamos que ir a Principe nos facilitó mucho el estar cerca del aeropuerto y también visitar todo el norte de la isla. Te sirven un buen desayuno y un punto importante es que puedes lavar ropa allí mismo, así puedes ahorrarte la mitad de la maleta. El sr. Luis siempre nos dió un trato muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar, a parte del personal de limpieza y guarda, el alojamiento lo lleva el solo con su mujer y no molestan para nada por lo que estás practicamente como en casa. Muy contentos de nuestra estancia en casa Luis🤣

GENTE D'AQUI Ngê D'ai êê, ubicado en São Tomé, en la región de Sao Tome Island, a 6 minutos a pie de Praia Izé, tiene alojamiento con wifi gratis, parrilla, un jardín y estacionamiento privado gratis.... Due to an unforeseen change of plans, we booked our stay just a few hours before arriving. Joao contacted me right away via WhatsApp to let us know he wouldn’t be there initially, but he made sure someone was expecting us and ready to greet us. This excellent communication continued throughout our stay. Joao’s hospitality was the standout—he was always available for anything we needed and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, bread and eggs, (and even soya yoghurt—which he had gone out especially to get for me as a vegetarian) Our room had a beautiful view of the sea, and we could hear the waves crashing as we fell asleep—I slept really well here. The location is in a village, and although we don’t speak Portuguese, the locals were very friendly. We even enjoyed a drink at the local bar and felt very safe the entire time.

El lodge Mucumbli se encuentra en la localidad de Ponta Figo y ofrece un restaurante y conexión de wifi gratis. This is an exceptional place to stay it is very comfortable, beautifully decorated, the views are spectacular and you fall asleep lullabied by the ocean. My favourtie place in a two week trip to STP. The staff are very helpful and Tiziano the owner is so great and was on hand to help with planning. The food was also delicious.

Hotel Kenito está ubicado en São Tomé, a 7 minutos a pie de Playa Emília, y ofrece alojamiento con una pileta al aire libre, estacionamiento privado gratis, un jardín y una terraza. clean and new rooms, comfy bed, good wifi and A/C, nice pool, but above all great host and staff - they were extremely helpful and fulfilled literally every wish i had :) i'd recommend to go for their rental cars too - the local car rental agencies i had were not very reliable and i got really old cars (but inexpensive, ok) ;)

Tienen aire acondicionado (algo bastante difícil de encontrar en el resto de alojamientos de la isla). Está bien ubicado y la verdad que las habitaciones eran muy cómodas, amplias y estaban muy limpias.

Gombela Ecolodge and Farming está ubicado en São Tomé, a 2,1 km de Praia Piscina, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, una terraza y un restaurante. Great location, great food and excellent service by Lukas and Bruno.

Domus Guesthouse está ubicado en Santana y tiene una pileta al aire libre, jardín, una terraza y restaurante. The breakfast is personalized instead of a buffet. I didn't even have to request it. Soon after I sat at a table I was served by an ample sort of food. Local fruits, ham, cheeze, and more. I tried several kinds of brewed tea. For those that love lemon, I suggest to try the Chalela tea :). The location is slightly away from the city center, about 5 minutes from car. This both gave me a calm area for sleep and relaxation, and made it quick to get there whenever I needed, which suited my needs perfectly.
