My friend and I arrived on Saturday morning, and Sean was already there in his minivan, waiting to welcome us and the other guests. The lodge is about 6 km from the main village, and although it is a little off the beaten track, the option to hire a bike made it a delightful and peaceful location. It is also conveniently close to the Worm Hole, which I highly recommend visiting! Sean gave us fantastic advice to help us make the most of our experience on the island. We stayed in a family room, which was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The private bathroom was an added bonus, and the view of the island from our room was simply stunning. The other guests were also very friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The living room is large and cosy, filled with books and comfortable sofas, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There is also space for yoga, both indoors and outdoors, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was varied, with plenty of hot and cold options to choose from. But the moment that truly stayed with me was returning from dinner in the main village to find the common area lit with candles, creating an intimate, immersive atmosphere that perfectly complements the wild beauty of the island and its charming native surroundings. Sean’s hospitality, the lodge’s comfort, and the peaceful, beautiful location make Aran Walkers Lodge an unforgettable place to stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

At the country house, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. What a beautiful, peaceful spot to spend a few days. We loved our stay at this beautiful B&B. Tigh Fitz is a charming, family-owned property that has been in the Fitzpatrick family for generations. Once a beloved pub and B&B, it has been thoughtfully restored into stylish, private guest apartments with stunning sea and hills views — the perfect retreat for a relaxing stay on Inis Mór. Penny is a wonderful host. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was great.

Breakfasts are provided each morning, and Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The location was good with great views and the hostess was very helpful and served up an excellent breakfast.

From the moment we arrived soaked off the ferry (an amazing voyage during a storm and our own fault for standing outside in it) we were welcomed in and made to feel at home. The location is perfect for exploring the island, and my gosh how beautiful the island is. The hotel feels like it’s right at the heart of the community, so warm, fun and friendly. We shared a totally wonderful New Year’s Eve there! A truly special place run by amazing people.
