Beach Hotels in Catanzaro

We loved everything about the Blu Marine. The location is a little outside the Port area where most of the hotels are, but that's a good thing. The beaches at the Port are packed with rows of sun loungers and people.The Blu Marine has a huge, long, quiet stretch of beach right in front of the building. There are a couple of Lido restaurants with sun loungers for hire but we like a bit more space, so Michelle gave us a sun umbrella. All we had to do was cross the road and put it up and jump straight into the sea. We cannot praise this place enough! Everything about it was just lovely. The room and bathroom were spacious and spotlessly clean. The balcony was huge. We were on the 6th floor, so when we stepped out, all we could see was sky and sea. Michelle was so welcoming and friendly. She doesn't speak any English and we have zero Italian so we got by with Google Translate. Her brother Antonio speaks perfect English so if we had anything complicated to ask, we called him on his mobile phone. He couldn't have been kinder. He even offered to book a restaurant when we couldn't find one that was open. The breakfast was simple and delicious. There's a big fridge in the kitchen for water and we could make our own tea and coffee there anytime. We loved this area. It's not just for tourists, people actually live here. It's not pristine but it felt really safe and we much preferred it to the Port area where the rest of our family stayed. There's a great little local pizzeria called Da Ciro just around the corner (6 euro for the best Margherita we've ever had!). And we could walk to a lovely fruit shop and a small supermarket within two minutes. At night time, the promenade was full of people strolling and chatting until midnight. The atmosphere was just magical.

Our second stay of the summer, the hotel was again wonderful. Very comfortable beds, very clean rooms & a very generous breakfast.

The coffee was very good and the breakfast was good when you consider it is in Italy. The staff Grazia Giustizia made my stay very nice.

A splendid experience in Pietragrande! This villa is a true jewel on the Calabrian coast. The house is an elegant fusion of comfort and design. The house has 3 bedrooms, two of which have sea views. The location is unrivalled, with direct access from the garden to the beach. The relaxing atmosphere and crystal clear sea will make your stay unforgettable. Thank you for making our dream holiday come true! Calabria has stolen our hearts and we can't wait to return.

Big enough to allow balance between enjoying activities and privacy. Staff very friendly and efficient! My 6 year old daughter appreciated too much the mini club!!! Overall grading is good!!!

Hotel Costa Ionila is located in the amazing place very close to the beach. Personal is very friendly and nice. This place is little bit older and need to clean rooms and restaurant better.
