Had the loft apartment. Chose this place over others mainly because I wanted a quiet location and La Petarie turned out to be perfect in that respect. Had no problem finding street parking and the owner met me promptly to check me in. Although Jean-Luc didn’t speak English (and I don’t speak French), he used a translation app which worked fine - he gave me some great recommendations for Champagne tastings and was kind enough to phone them to organise reservations. The apartment was absolutely spotless and everything appeared in new condition. I loved the decor and quirkiness, and it was very well equipped for self catering. Very reasonably priced bottles of Champagne in the fridge. Steps up to the loft bedroom might not suit some, but no issue to me although headroom in the loft area is limited. For those that didn’t figure it out there is a switch above the bed that closes the blackout blind on the loft window. The apartment was very quiet and easy walking distance to the Avenue de Champagne. Breakfast the next morning was excellent - I would loved to have taken it in the garden which looked beautiful, but it was a bit chilly so breakfast was inside. Overall a very high standard and great attention to detail - would go back without hesitation. Loved it.

Once the 2 flights of stairs were ascended, a modern, clean sizeable and well equipped apartment was revealed. Wow!!! Nice location and easy walk to fabulous boulangerie.

A very well kept gite in a quiet location, convenient for the Champagne region. Host nearby and very welcoming. Happy to help and equally happy to leave you to your own devices. Perfect for us. The accommodation is very clean. Bedrooms, shower room and one toilet upstairs. Beds are comfortable and the bedding is good quality. Towels likewise. Downstairs kitchen with dining area and living room area plus a second toilet. Good selection of cushions and a big sofa. Huge TV in living area and a smaller one in each bedroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were a bonus after a long journey. Everything easy to operate. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Secure parking right next to the side door makes unloading a breeze! Would happily stay here again.

    Clean and comfortable property situated in a quiet village just South of Epernay: ideal as a base to explore Reims and the Champagne region. The hosts were extremely friendly. The flat is self-catering but situated just above a boulangerie where we were able to buy delicious croissants and pains au chocolat for Sunday breakfast. Highly recommended!

    Charming apartment, within a small development in the village of Chouilly. Perfect to visit Avenue de Champagne, even walking distance if you fancy a walk through the fields. The owner’s lovely mum who also runs the Boulangerie downstairs, arranged a visit for us to a small producer (Thomas Pavy), where we had a personal tour for free and also picked up some excellent champagne.
