Nestled on the pristine island of Thelu Veliga, located in the South Ari Atoll, approximately 90 km southwest of the capital, Malé, Drift Thelu Veliga Retreat boasts of its own magnificent house reef.... The resort is captivating , a beautifully preserved place for the comfort and relaxation, a combination of greens , white sand and crystalline water . Amazing , friendly and polite staff at your service all time . Maria and Rayyan from the reception are great and willing to assist with your needs. The restaurant Chief Mr Wasana ( I hope the name is right) prepares the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten in a resort. His hands are Gold !! ( luckily we were few guests and were offered a La carte menu instead of buffet) Stayed in water villa , the room is cozy , we had complete view of sunset.. magical. Beauty in each corner of Drift Retreat resort , must try the bar for a drink with stunning views . Budget friendly compared to many resorts in Maldives and honestly should be rated 5 stars including service .

Boasting a shared lounge, Koimala Hotel is situated in Maamigili. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, free shuttle service and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout... We had an amazing stay! The staff was fantastic, especially the manager, Mr. Rifath, who was always super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. We loved the food, especially the ‘Pririni’ dessert and the pasta dishes. The place is beautiful and so welcoming. Truly an unforgettable experience! I truly recommend to everyone. Believe me, you will not regret it!

Located in Rasdu and with Rashdoo Bikini Beach reachable within 1.1 km, Ras Rana Lodge provides express check-in and check-out, soundproof rooms, a private beach area, free WiFi and a fitness centre. It’s my second time at Ras Village and I absolutely loved it. Everyone is extremely kind and welcoming and went above and beyond to make my stay as restful and incredible as possible. I was very well taken care of during my entire stay from pick up to drop off and even met for coffee during a stopover. The outside garden is absolutely stunning and a perfect spot to relax after some diving. Ahmed is the kindest person on the planet and prepares the most tastiest Maldivian breakfast you’ll ever try. I’ve had such an amazing time thanks to you guys and I can’t wait to be back again!

A once-in-a-lifetime experience awaits you at Lily Beach Resort & Spa, where luxury and bliss entwine together under the vibrant colours of the setting sun. From the very moment you step into the Maldives, Lily Resort takes hospitality to a whole new level. Even before arrival, the hotel reaches out to arrange transfers, ensuring a seamless start to your vacation. While we initially opted for a domestic flight and speedboat (not recommended, as you lose half a day), our return by seaplane was nothing short of perfection—quick, luxurious, and topped off with a VIP car greeting at the airport. Pure bliss! From the second you land, you are treated like royalty. Greeted by the general manager, guest relations team, personal butler, and even a live music orchestra, you instantly realize you’ve arrived in paradise. The attention to detail is impeccable—your butler takes care of everything, from a buggy tour of the island to offering a refreshing cocktail and cooling face towel after your journey. Whatever you need, they are just a message away. Overwater Villa – A Slice of Heaven (10/10) Stepping into our overwater villa was like stepping into a dream come true. The room was spotless, beautifully scented, and elegantly furnished, featuring: A massive bathroom with both a jacuzzi bathtub and a luxurious shower. Thoughtfully provided amenities—toothbrushes, razors, combs, shower caps, slippers, plush robes, and endless towels. A private infinity pool with a jacuzzi, filled with perfectly warm, crystal-clear water. A unique outdoor bathroom, where you can gaze at fish while taking a shower. A super-comfy king-sized bed with the freshest linens, plus a cozy daybed ideal for lounging with premium-quality TV and music systems. A fully stocked minibar—soft drinks, alcohol, snacks, and treats, all included! A spectacular glass floor panel, giving a mesmerizing view of marine life beneath your feet, day and night. Reliable high-speed internet—no lag, perfect for video calls and streaming. Everything in the villa was designed for absolute comfort—10/10 perfection!

Offering a luxurious paradise experience, Diamonds Athuruga Maldives Resort & SPA features spacious villas, a spa offering Ayurvedic treatments and a dive centre. We just came back from this resort and are already planning our next vacation at the same place. We stayed for two weeks in a standard beach villa and liked everything, the most important for us being the house reef. The house reef: simply outstanding, daily encounters with the sharks, turtles, whole families of the eagle rays, porcupine and boxfish, moray eels and so on. We enjoyed snorkeling at least twice a day and were never disappointed. The food : simple but good, with Italian influence. One could find pizzas and pasta at a daily basis (pasta with speck and safran sauce is my favorite). Every day the resort changes the theme of the diner, my favorite being Maldivian, we had it twice during our stay. Live barbecue with meat and fish, live naan station (just excellent) as well as other dishes from all around the world. We also booked the lobster dinner, while being a bit too expensive, it was one of the best we had so far. The Chef prepared an excellent lemon butter sauce that was just perfect for the lobster, highlighting its delicate taste. Thanks to the General manager Jaco we also had one diner at the a la carte water villa restaurant, we liked a lot the romantic setting, lounge music, service and of course the food. The excursions: we went on a whale shark excursion and were lucky to see two different of them. In our sixth’s time in Maldives it was the first encounter, what a beautiful experience ! We also went on the night sharks snorkeling and had seen at least 30 friendly nurse sharks of different size, it was impressive and beautiful. Finally, we went on manta safari and unfortunately haven’t seen any, but we will try again the next year. The resort also organizes the house reef snorkeling excursions twice a day (free of charge) with the marine’s biologists. If you are not a confident swimmer and/or would like to know better the marine’s life, I highly recommend to give it a try. The shop: I loved this shop.
