There is something so grounded and peaceful about this homestay in little town Mitsu. The owner cooked great breakfast and carefully attend my need. Moreover, the sea smell, the small coffee shop in the alley and the friendly people makes it hard to leave this place. If you really want a healing, go here.

Nice small well orgznized ryokan with tatami setup at the room. Nice quiet neighbourhood, with access to many nearby groceries like Lamu which operate 24hrs, and many other restaurants. Closer to the harbor seaside with short walking distance. The owner is really a nice lady which provided us lots of guidance to explore the nearby attraction places. Will certainly visit this place for a longer period in the near future!

The hotel provides lots of toiletries to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning.

Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan está ubicado en Matsuyama y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, una terraza, un bar, wifi gratis y vista al río. One of the best hotel/ryokan I’ve stayed! The decoration of the entire place is amazing, with so many details. The place is renovated from a 100 year old house. It has the traditional Japanese houses charm but also clean and comfortable (with AC and other amenities). The garden is beautiful - you can just tell how much efforts the host has put into this house. The host is very nice and helpful, offered to pick us up and bring us to the airport, and even asked whether we needed umbrella when we were visiting Matsuyama. The whole place felt so calm and peaceful, I slept very well every night and woke up with natural sunshine feeling refreshed. Simply stunning and highly recommended. The surrounding neighborhoods is also very interesting to walk around with lots of good restaurants to offer. Remember to check out the Italian restaurant Flor and the taco place just down the street!

It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

El Hotel Sunroute Matsuyam, situado a 3 minutos a pie de la estación de JR Matsuyama, se encuentra a 10 minutos en tranvía del castillo de Matsuyama. Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Just a minute’s walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Terminal Hotel Matsuyama houses a restaurant and offers Western-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free bicycle rentals are provided. Location was amazing, just right outside the JR station! Easy to commute to and fro other cities / parts of Matsuyama. Staff was also fluent in English which helped a lot with the check-in processes.
