It was super easy to access even when no one was on premises. They have a system to give people access to the place after check out . This is very convenient when your flight is in the evening. Spending Christmas at the Aurora Hut of Inuk Hostel was nothing short of extraordinary. I couldn’t have chosen a more special place to celebrate the holiday season. Despite the biting cold of Greenland, the Aurora Hut was incredibly warm and cozy, offering every modern convenience—WiFi, Bluetooth, power sockets, and a compact but functional toilet. The design is both practical and inviting, making it a perfect retreat. The owner, Gerth, made my stay even more memorable by personally showing me to my room. The warm welcome and thoughtful touches, like the Christmas decoration, added an extra layer of charm and friendliness to the experience. Despite it being Christmas, Gerth arranged for me to have breakfast every day, which just proves his exceptional hospitality. The Filipino crew at the reception were equally delightful—friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The highlight of my stay was witnessing the aurora borealis not once, but twice, from the comfort of my very own room. The transparent ceiling allowed me to marvel at this natural wonder without even stepping outside. It was pure magic, and truly one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel. If you’re looking for a unique, cozy, and truly special place to stay in Greenland, the Inuk Hostel Aurora Hut is an absolute must. I will treasure this magical Christmas forever.

Inuk Hostels is located in a part of Nuuk that has some of the best views of both the city and the surrounding nature. It is conveniently located halfway between the airport and the Old City centre and can be reached by taxi, bike, or even by foot for those who want to enjoy a nice walk in Nuuk. The staff at Inuk Hostels is friendly, professional, and welcoming. I liked that the staff at Inuk Cafe (where check-in is done for Inuk Hostels) was attentive to the needs of guests during my stay and that they were always willing to help us call for a taxi, arrange for a meal at the cafe, or provide assistance with booking tours and services provided by Inuk Travel. The room I stayed in was part of the Puisi lodge, where I enjoyed a nice bedroom that was attached to a common area that included books about Greenland, a working kitchen, and access to a shower and restroom that had hot water. Thank you Inuk Hostels for allowing me to stay and for making me feel welcome in Nuuk!

We didn't have breakfast in the restaurant . The evening meal we had in the restaurant was okay, food was nicely presented, had to ask for the hollandaise sauce which didn't come with the meal, it was supposed to.
