Taylor's Rest está ubicado en Toab, a 23 km de Maeshowe, y ofrece alojamiento con hidromasaje. This chalet was wonderful. Very comfortable and nicely furnished. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment for cooking our own meals. There was a generous basket with breakfast items, chips, cookies and milk, juice and cheese in the frig. The bathroom was large and well appointed for seniors/handicapped (although we didn't need this). The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable (if you like a semi-firm). The windows open for fresh air at night. There was plenty of room to hang/put away clothes. There were books and publications with regional information. We had a wonderful stay!

Fantastic stay here, the perfect place to explore Orkney from. Dorothy was wonderful and ensured everything was well organised, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic after exploring outdoors on the colder, windier days. A short drive to Kirkwall township in a quiet setting. Highly recommended!

Karrawa Guest House está ubicado en Kirkwall, a 2,7 km de Scapa Beach y a 17 km de Maeshowe. Fiona and Colin were brilliant hosts. The breakfasts are fresh and cooked to order, along with a wide selection of cereals and juices. Our room was spotless and roomy, with a big closet for hanging up rain-dampened clothes. It’s a 20-minute walk to the centre of Kirkwall, or a 6£ cab ride if you’re coming back from the pubs. There is ample parking on the property.

Arriving late off the Northlink ferry is sometimes a challenge for getting booked into places and obtaining keys and parking can be an issue. This however was perfect with its own car park and the room keys and a welcome note left for my arrival. The room was prepared ready for my arrival, heating and lights on and curtains closed. The en-suite room was warm and comfortable with all the usual shower gel, shampoo, tea and coffee etc. The breakfast was perfect and the owners/staff very welcoming and friendly. I've definitely found my place for when work takes me to Orkney :-)
