Hotels near Bournemouth Airport - BOH, Bournemouth

This was a lovely stop over on our way to our next stop to our holiday for us. Its also suitable for short stays. Lovely area , off street parking & pets are welcome. The Host are welcoming too.

Cooker disconnected and in middle of kitchen floor. TV not working. No hot water Beds too uncomfortable to sleep on Bathroom sink minute No milk in fridge as promised. House was clean though.

Chosen for location to family in wimborne. The lady greeted us warmly on reception. The room was not 'the kings suite' as advised by the receptionist but a basic (tired) double room. The door lock didn't seem to be working so I propped the folding luggage wrack behind the door. We arrived very late so just wanted to sleep otherwise I would have asked to change rooms. The bath was rusty, didn't hold the water, had dirty grout & towel rail wasn't working. Apparently according to the room information non slip bath mats are available from reception - not helpful as you are stepping into the bath before reading the info. The windows with tatty net curtain let in the outside road noise & there were stains on the carpet but it did have a bottle of tap drinking water but no hot chocolate or biscuit. The room had an iron & ironing board but no hair dryer. Toiletries were a small soap & shower/bath gel (15ml?). Unfortunately the gentleman next door intermittently coughed & snored so I didn't get much sleep which is obviously out of control of the hotel except for the thin walls. The room heating wasn't on but there was a small adjustable heater. The bed was firmer than what I am used to (personal preference) the pillows were comfortable. Loved the circular riverside walk, straight from Heronshaw House. Nice on a hot day and great for dogs, one splash about area during the walk, and a decent length of walk. Think it was around an hour, including stops to take photos. Despite being close to the airport you rarely heard any aircraft noise. A hidden gem, yet only a short drive to all local amenities. The walk is easy and flat. So if you want a relaxing and peaceful break you will not be disappointed, without being cut off should you want more. A half hour drive to the Cliffhouse, at Barton on Sea, for some fabulous food, with lovely views looking over to the Isle of White and Hengistbury Head. The New Forest also only half hours drive away.

Excellent in every possible way location very near Christchurch , a very quality breakfast and choice , very friendly staff all happy to please , very comfortable clean warm and spacious room , room facilities left nothing to be desired . Recommend throughly to anyone seeking a well above average stay . Managed properly where every customer comes first . Easy secure parking adjacent to the rooms . Well done !

The owners book you in and that is the last you see of them, its nice if you like the relaxed approach. The tent was lovely and had everything we needed for our short stay. The toilet facilities is another matter. There is 1 toilet and 1 shower for each the male and females. There were some that used the toilet to get ready for the day instead of their accommodation or shower room. This meant the 1 and only toilet could be out of action for over an hr at a time. This is not the place for anyone with a weak bladder.
