We had a tea ceremony on arrival, the baths were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. It is a really special place and one that our kids will definitely remember.

The property is around 9.1 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 12 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church and 12 km from Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. The ryokan has family rooms. This was a very nice change from the urban hotels during our travels around Japan. The proprietress is very charming and the breakfast prepared for us was very intricate with many Japanese foods. Sleeping and bathing traditional Japanese style is also something worth experiencing. To get there from Nara, take the train from Kintetsu Nara to Ikoma station where you can take the tramway up. You can just as quickly reach Ikoma station from Osaka. We visited in September and the last tram up was at 11pm. There was a restaurant open near the ryokan until 10pm (Indonesian). And if you are able to do some stairs, I highly recommend a visit in the morning to the temple complex above the ryokan. Keep following the steps above the first temples and you will find yourself on a truly magical path.

Suehiro Park is 25 km from the hotel and Nozaki Kannon Shrine is 25 km away. Close to all the shops and restaurant, and a short stroll to the Temples and deer park. The suite was exceptional. Very clean, beautifully appointed, and a fantastic outdoor tub and shower set in a garden setting, which was lovely to use in the evening. The bathroom inside was huge, and the shower room was the best we have experienced. The beds were very comfortable, and there is luggage lift for your suitcases so you don’t need to get them up or down stairs. Extremely good value and we would definitely recommend it to others.
