And if you needed anything, the genuinly friendly staff is there to help. We were greeted by Issa, who is very welcoming and shows great hospitality. A must do if you consider exploring the desert.

Located in Bidiyah, Star line for Desert Camping provides accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. We had a relaxing stay in a comfortable spacious tent. The welcome was very fun and this theme continued for our trip, with an authentic dinner and singing around a campfire under the stars. The views here are incredible, with an amazing sunset. Sultan was a really great guide and driver, we did activities including dune bashing with him which was very fun. We also visited a nearby village, stopping for Arabic coffee and cake and were able to purchase local handmade souvenirs. There are many activities to do on the dunes and camels in the camp. The hosts are truly accommodating and Sultan was very helpful with all our needs. I would definitely return again given the chance, thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

AL hawiyah camp is situated in Ḩawīyah and has a heated pool and inner courtyard views. All was excellent. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms was clean and comfortable. The food delicious and plenty. The era was beautiful. If you have normal car you can park in the village and they transfer you to the camp with small fee.

Sama Al Wasil Desert Camp is located in Shāhiq and offers a restaurant buffet. It includes table tennis and darts. The accommodation will provide you with a seating area. Very close to the airport and super clean

Arabian Nights Resort & Spa features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and bar in Shāhiq. The resort offers both free WiFi and free private parking. A really nice resort in the desert. The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The pool is great for refreshing dip. We drove there ourselves, it is not hard to find or drive through the desert, the only thing is you have to know how much to deflate the tires. It is useful to have a portable air compressor.

Boasting a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and quiet street views, Golden Palm Oasis is set in Fulayj al Mashāʼikh. The property has mountain and garden views. The whole experience was magical and we really enjoyed the two nights we had. The whole staff were all so kind and especially Fawad Ali made our stay magical. 🙏🏻 We didn’t want to leave and could easily have stayed for two more nights.

Located in the middle of Sharqiya Sands of Oman’s Empty Quarter, Arabian Oryx Camp offers a Bedouin experience in the desert. Nice camp in desert. Drove from Al Maha Al Wasil fuel station. Before we let reduce the tyre pressure for 1 OMR, by return they did the oppoosite and you can wash your car for 1.50-2 OMR. We enjoyed the stay, you can walk around the camp, watching sunset/rise or just sitting on the terrace and looking aroung. We were free upgraded and got very nice bungalow in the corner with the view on dune hills and in the morning we could look for the sunrise. The sun appears approx one hour after the official sunrise, do not get too early like we did :-)
