If you want to have a true experience of the Chitwan National Park with the best local guide who is passionate about the jungle and has a ton of knowledge about the wildlife, then this is the best place for you! Bishnu (the owner of the lodge and guide) is truly amazing! He started answering any questions I had even before I arrived at the area. His wife and his kids are truly adorable and they made me feel like being at home. I went with Bishnu in a half day jeep safari and a full day walking (and boat) safari, as well as some other activities like bird watching. Even if we were not lucky enough to see a tiger, we saw many rhinos, deers and monkeys! Bishnu knows every corner of the forest and he was explaining to us every detail and answering any questions we had. While other guides may show you only the basics without putting much effort, Bishnu is trying his best to find the best spots in the jungle so that the guests could have the greatest experience! One day of my 3 days stay, I was the only guest and Bishnu arranged extra activities especially for me so as not to get bored! Last but not least, the food was fresh and homemade, and it was the best food I had in Nepal! These 3 days full of adventure and great hospitality, was the best part of my trip in Nepal and makes me want to visit Nepal and Bishnu again in the future for sure! El Chitwan Village Resort, rodeado de zonas verdes y situado a través del río Rapti, se encuentra a solo 300 metros de la zona de safari en la selva del parque nacional de Chitwan. Stayed for 4 nights and so very glad I picked this absolutely perfect resort hotel in Chitwan because sadly I was sick and unable to safari. Nevermind that because the staff, especially the always caring Basu, absolutely made sure that I was taken care of, traveling alone with a fever and flu and my first time in Nepal. I saw many travelers go on safari of course and heard there were rhinos. I myself saw elephants, crocodiles, gharials all from daily walks to strengthen my lungs. My room was a deluxe double with balcony, a huge, clean room with two very comfortable beds and two picture windows, very comfortable and warm even in January with an extra comforter, sublimely beautiful grounds, and except for the usual dogs, quiet at night. Also a perfect location! A short walk to Tharu village or to town. With such a view! And easy to walk to the riverbank. Or in the evening when the mosquitos get thick, the local kids are playing and the people are farming; it's really sweet to see and is scenic, real Nepal. Excellent, huge breakfast cooked to order and wonderful masala chai too. I looked in and out of practically every hotel in Sauraha and it is my opinion that this lovely family-run resort is the absolute best. Also very kind driver to the tourist bus and Raj the owner/manager is a good guy. He has a loyal team for a reason! I hope to return in the future with family and then we can take that safari together! But I recommend 4-7 days to just unwind here. It couldn't be a more beautiful and serene space.

Nuestro hotel favorito durante nuestra estancia en Nepal. Apartado de las actividades turísticas pero ello se solucionaba ya que nos venían a buscar para realizar las mismas. Vale la pena por poder disfrutar las vistas y servicios del hotel. Recomendamos enormemente escoger una habitación con piscina, de ensueño. Más parecido a un apartamento que a una habitación. El menú es muy extenso y cocinan bien, aunque si no te gusta el picante, pídelo sin. Nosotros comimos en varias ocasiones en la habitación, que tenía vistas al río y a la jungla. Respecto al spa, los masajes que probamos, relajaban muchísimo. En el baño había ducha y jacuzzi. Probamos por primera vez el plato más mítico de Nepal, el Thali nepalí, nos gustó.

This hotel is really exceptional: Staff and owner are very friendly, kind and helpful. My room and all hotel is very clean and wonderfully maintained. The hotel is a beautiful place with a garden, many trees. Located in the centre of Sauraha, on a very quiet, silent and safe place. Walk distance to the safari. A wild rhino gave us a suprise visit, it was amazing to see the wild rhino walking in the pathway of the hotel. Everything works well, hot water, free wifi, A/C, comfy bed. The staff helped us organize private tours and were super attentive when we were at the hotel.Walking a whole day and returning by car was the best experience. We saw 7 rhinos and many more animals. I will stay here again my next visit. Thank you
