Set in Udawalawe, 20 km from Udawalawe National Park, Vimanra Udawalawa offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We loved the pool, temperature was perfect. From the pool we had a view of the river, there was plenty of birdlife to watch, also saw mongoose and large lizard. The owner really cares about the service he is providing. The meals were all amazing and he was accommodating when on the second day we only wanted a light lunch of sandwiches. He organised a good safari for us and was there as we left for safari even though it was 5am. Really recommend this accommodation.

Ibis is located in Udawalawe and features a pool with a view and garden views. We are Paola and Silvano from Italy, travelling through Sri Lanka by bicycle. We spent three nights at Ibis and were welcomed by Sarangha as if we were family. Sarangha and her husband Sarath are very kind and helpful people, always smiling. Sarangha took care of us with grace and kindness, always ready to respond to every need, from the tuk tuk to the safari. The most important thing is that she told us that she could organize it for us at a good price (excluding the entrance ticket to the park) but without any obligation, initially we did not want to organize it and instead, after visiting the Elephant Transit Home, we changed our minds, it was an excellent choice and also the person who accompanied us was kind and trustworthy. We also had dinner at Ibis, very tasty home made meals and also a good breakfast. The room was confortable clean and spacious, we chose the one at ground floor, but there are also at the first floor with balcony. We also could do the laundry. We didn't use the pool, but it's very scenic and relaxing even if you don't want to swim. We also had some time to talk with Sarangha and Sarath and it was really interesting share some experiences with this lovely family. Thank you very much for everything!

Atha Safari Resort offers a hot tub and beauty services, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Udawalawe, 50 km from Tangalle Lagoon. Beautiful and clean property. Felt like home. He organized the safari, the driver was a great guide. Lots of animals to see and lots of elephants. The owner is very kind. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for a few days getaway

The lodge is excellent, the best quiet environment I had in Sri Lanka, the jacuzzi tub is perfect for a dip after a long safari. The owner and staff are very friendly. The lodge also organized my private safari and my guide, driver Janaka, was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe safari better than the one I did in Yala.

Lovely pool.. Meals were served in a lovely thatched restaurant in the garden and really nice. We asked for some breakfast to take on our safari which was packed up for us. The hotel is almost opposite the elephant transit home which you can visit at feeding time. Nite- the transit home only accepts cash.Very pretty gardens in the hotel and friendly staff.
