Rooms are clean, hot water pressure is perfect. They have a really clean swimming pool and even warm, that was wonderful after all day road. Humidity level in room is good, there isn't any smell and I could dry all my clothes. Also they have a restaurant, I ate only breakfast, but it was good and tasty. Definitely recommended to stay here.

We had our own itinerary and driver so we did not need assistance, but it was clear our host was happy to help and could arrange activities if needed. The views from the outdoor common area were fantastic. And the meals provided by the host’s wife were some of the best we had in Sri Lanka

This is a very special lodging option that stands out from the crowd. You are really in nature. When checking in, the owner showed us an elephant footprint just next to our hut. One morning we saw a hornbill on the adjacent balcony. View from the balcony to Sigiriya Rock is amazing. Room is quite spacious for us to open three suitcases at the same time. There are mosquito nets on some of the windows to keep them open during the night. We were welcomed in style with tea and palm sugar based sweet. Chena Huts was the only place where we received such welcome. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful. Each room has stairs to go up to, the owner helped to bring our luggages to the room. They can also book elephant safaris, however they are conscious about conflict of interests with driver companies organizing a full tour. Make sure to clarify what is agreed and not agreed as part of your driver contract.

Situated within 19 km of Sigiriya Rock and 22 km of Pidurangala Rock in Dambulla, Dambulla Sun Vsh Holiday features accommodation with seating area. The family which runs this property are very good and humble. Owner was kind enough to pick us directly from bus stand to the Homestay. They served authentic Srilankan food which was very tasty. Royal cave temple and Dambulla stadium are quite near and we can get tuk tuk easily. Go to place to stay if you are visiting sigiriya and Dambulla.
