A tranquil retreat perched on hills, Heritance Kandalama offers panoramic views of the Sigiriya Rocks. What an amazing experience staying at this hotel. It felt like they had thought of everything from live music, magicians, music in the bathrooms and such a beautiful setting in the forest/jungle. The monkeys are so fun to watch especially the ones with the black faces. Yes this hotel is on the higher price point but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and attention from the many staff. Everything can be arranged by the reception with many experiences or a tuk tuk if you need to go to Dambulla. The buffet dinner is amazing with so much to choose from and of high quality and the buffet breakfast is delicious also.

Great home stay in a quiet area away from the noisier tourist area. We had our own itinerary and driver so we did not need assistance, but it was clear our host was happy to help and could arrange activities if needed. The views from the outdoor common area were fantastic. And the meals provided by the host’s wife were some of the best we had in Sri Lanka

Super super nice staff, very cute and very attentive to whatever needs, almost too much so! It was the best place and I am sure there is no better place to stay in Sigiraya, would be hard to imagine a better place m. Amazing views of both rocks, would recommend only one rock hike and spend time relaxing at this great hotel

The huts have beautiful views and everything needed for a stay. The breakfast included was great with lots of fruit and mix of sri lankan and western breakfast. Amila went above and beyond to help us get tuk tuks and even providing us a transfer himself. Fantastic stay and incredible hospitality.
