Designed to look like a Khmer Buddhist Temple, The Sanctuary Villa Battambang offers an outdoor pool. Fitted with free WiFi, air-conditioned villas present a mix of modern and traditional decor. It was private and very well designed. The pool area was very tastefully done and was always immaculately clean. The breakfast and coffee was also excellent!

A lovely oasis of calm - beautiful rooms, great pool and friendly staff who were very helpful organizing a tuk-tuk tour for us. The room was especially nice - very clean and comfortable. The staff helped sort out any minor issues we had and we really enjoyed our stay.

It’s crazy cheap, and the rooms are huge! Everything was spotless and really comfortable. The staff are also amazing, as seems to be the case in all of Cambodia everyone is really friendly and helpful. I thought I’d left my headphones in the room when we checked out and the staff went above and beyond checking the room high and low and even calling me to let me know what was going on. It turns out I’d thrown them in the bottom of my bag in a hurry… but it just shows the kindness of people, I can’t thank them enough for being so helpful! Also, if you want a tour whilst you’re in Battambang then try and find Mr Dara. He’s the best tour guide we’ve had in SE Asia and he usually hangs around in the centre of town and outside the hotel.
