Our experience at Fra i Sassi was absolutely unforgettable. Our room was beautiful and full of character — the bathroom was set directly in the cave, which gave it such a unique and authentic touch. One of the highlights was definitely the view: right from our window we had a breathtaking panorama of Matera, perfect at any time of day. The location couldn’t have been better. We had no issues at all with our luggage, and the direct shuttle to the hotel made arrival super easy. Once there, we were within walking distance of everything — it’s perfectly situated to explore the Sassi and the historic center. What really made the difference was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. They gave us excellent recommendations for food and activities, helped with reservations, and made us feel completely at home. A big plus for us: we were traveling with our dog and everything went smoothly. And breakfast? Just as amazing as everything else — fresh, local, and delicious. Highly recommend staying here if you want the full Matera experience with comfort, charm, and warm hospitality

Hotel Martino offers stunning views over the Policastro Gulf, a heated indoor pool, and free lobby Wi-Fi. The seaside and the private beach are a 10 minute's walk away. Parking is free. We are already planning to return for longer! Wonderful views from our very comfortable and clean room,very helpful staff, beautiful hotel surroundings,a restaurant, delicious breakfast with a gorgeous sea view-and a private beach! We were also picked up from Maratea station and taken back for our next train.Exceptional indeed!

Precioso Hotel, muy buen servicio, cuidado hasta el mínimo detalle. Los anfitriones muy bien entrenados para atender al huésped y hacerlo sentir cómodo Excelente ubicación. Volveré sin duda, me ha encantado El SPA y Restaurante magníficos, inclusive para ir aunque no estés hospedado. Te resuelven muy bien el problema de estacionar el coche ya que es imposible meterlo a Matera Felicidades !

Spazio Gagarin Residence está situado en Matera, a 17 minutos a pie de Casa Grotta nei Sassi y a menos de 1 km de Tramontano Castle. Everything about this accommodation is just perfect. Rooms are very nice and clean. Location is perfect, just 10 min from centre. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and hope to visit it again.

Great room in a lovely house. Breakfast was served in a bakery 50m from the hotel. Great and generous breakfast. The staff was great and helpful. One of the best hotels in this Italy trip. I would stay there again.
