Exceptional facilities and stunning building. Quite an experience. Loved how the cells have retained original stone. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and service brilliant. Lovely staff
Nestled amid the beautiful Cornish countryside, between Bodmin and Wadebridge, this charming hotel is beautifully set within a Grade II listed building, dating back to the early 18th century.

Everything was amazing about this trip! My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and couldn’t complain about anything. The bed was super comfy, great facilities and the hot tub was beautiful! Even the little milk and the welcome biscuits was such a cute touch. The owners were super lovely too and very helpful :)

A busy town and lots of traffic.
A busy town and lots of traffic. Worth exploring, but I didn't have the time, other than looking at the old jail. Good mid-way stopping point if travelling further into Cornwall.
The hotel served a very good breakfast and the evening meal was well prepared: the lamb that I had was beautifully cooked. The options for puddings were mainly cake-based and personally, I found my meringue option a tad sweet (as one might expect) with no pouring cream to calm it down!

Was visiting a sick relative in the hospital & hotel very convenient for that. Have always been in transit elsewhere so didn't know the town well. So attractive and clean. Very friendly people who readily helped direct or help in other ways. I have relatives who came from Probus and Devonshire so visited both counties from 1946 onwards and think changes by and large sensitive and well carried out. The beauty of the county and rural nature has been largely preserved and if controlled population increase measures are sympathetically controlled, the character of the county ought to be preserved along with its beauty.

A great experience, the renovation work is amazing throughout the hotel! We only stayed there for 1 night but we would have liked to have spend more time.
Comfortable beds, and a great spacious bathroom.
Great breakfast options.
Would be great to have gluten free options in the room service menu.
Waterside was a great, dog friendly, convenient and as described facility. The accommodation was spacious, very well equipped and included a henry hoover, decent kitchenware, airers, fan, welcome pack and even an umbrella. The bed was comfortable, lots of linen was provided and it all felt clean. The area was peaceful but centrally located for sightseeing around Cornwall. There was a really useful information sheet showing details of local beaches and postcodes. we would certainly return and not hesitate to recommend to friends.
The Granary no 1 is 2bed 2bath with an open plan lounge kitchen dining area. It is very well fitted out and there was nothing we needed that was not there during our stay. The location is perfect for days out for all the usual places one would want to go to in Cornwall. Bodmin is only 2 miles away and it was possible to go to Bodmin on a back lane, which avoided having to cross over the main A30. Norman the owner lives next door and is a fountain of information.
Trevidgeowe Farm is an excellent location for visiting Bodmin and surrounding areas.
A beautiful house where we spent 2 nights in a very spacious Delux King Room. Very comfortable bed, large Ensuite with double walk in shower all beautifully decorated.
Excellant range of continental breakfast including homemade grenola and bread.
Our first choice will be to stay here when we next visit cornwall in the summer.
Emma your hostess will make you most welcome.
Our hosts made us so welcome and could not do more for us. You felt very safe in terms of Covid and a lovely
breakfast was cooked to your choice. The bed was so comfortable and the location is so peaceful, you are guaranteed a relaxing stay. We shall certainly stay again, when we are next in the area. The standard of cleanliness was the best you will ever get and our room and en-suite bathroom were both very spacious.
The property is spotlessly clean, during these times it was very reassuring. The location is very private and so quiet. The property has very good heating/cooling. Everything you need is provided. You feel very comfortable in the property from the outset. Its also very modern and built to a very high standard. As it is just outside of Bodmin transport to the rest of Cornwall/Devon is very easy.
In the hotel everything was just right. I was nice, it was clean and well located. The hotel staff has exceeded my expectation, everyone was super-friendly, we've received warm welcome and every query or ask was quickly resolved. It was a very nice and comfortable stay over. I'd recommend Holiday Inn Express - Bodmin to anyone looking for a stay in the area.
The Trehellas House hotel is an absolute gem. Magnificent value and truly wonderful service from delightful owners for whom nothing was too much trouble. Sophisticated restaurant in small local rural hotel a wonderful bonus and both dinner and breakfast top quality with locally sourced ingredients. I cannot recommend highly enough
After a long day of cycling across Cornwall I received a really warm welcome from the team, I might have been one of the few mid-week guests but I was really well looked after, nothing was too much trouble, and I had a really good evening meal, breakfast and the lodge was perfect.
Restaurant was excellent. Food was perfect on each occasion. Good supply of tea, milk etc. Comfortable furniture. Basic toiletries provided: shampoo, shower gel and soap. All staff encountered were excellent despite the hotel and restaurant being very busy.
This is a ground floor en suite room with its own entrance. There has clearly been an effort to fit the room out to be comfortable. It was clean and there were some thoughtful touches, like chocolates and local information. It is close to Bodmin town centre.
Excellent location near Bodmin, lovely well cared for log cabin with all the things needed for a great stay. Perfect, highly recommended. We visited the nearby Steam railway at Bodmin, the Eden Project and historic Charlestown harbour.
The catering both at breakfast and in the evening is excellent as is the service. Accommodation is compact but we'll designed, modern and very clean. The village is lovely and we'll located for touring the area.
Hotel in excellent location a few minutes from high street. Large room with good view over town. Nice restaurant…good breakfast and evening meal. Staff friendly and helpful. Fair price for Bodmin .
A proper home from home. The cottage had everything we needed. It was all up to date and the bed was lovely. Nice quiet spot within easy reach of destinations throughout Cornwall.
Overall it was excellent staying in Fore Street, Bodmin its also convenient as it's located in the town centre, no issue of parking, cleaned and well maintained
