The apartment was in a very central area of the old town and just a short walk to the Schloss which was very interesting with beautiful gardens on the lake. Lieblingsnest apartment was very comfortable and well equipped but the bedroom was very cramped and had too little airflow. It really needed a ceiling fan. There were too many doors for such a small space.

Unexpectedly beautiful city.
Unexpectedly beautiful city. A lot of old and well kept houses, and a very extravagant castle. Unfortunately not all of the city is well kept, but the overall impression is good. There are several nice restaurants, and the Christmas market is very nice. The city also have a lot of shopping opportunities, including shopping centers. Beware that the shopping centers have very few elevators and toilet facilities.

A very pleasant and picturesque city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with good rail services for exploring the remainder of the state. There is a good range of shops, restaurants and bars. Great city to relax a bit.
Great city to relax a bit. The lake is nice and also the city and the castle were a super cool visit. Many shopping and restaurant options. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to detach a bit from the etic lifestyle of the city. Would stay between 1 and 3 days.

If you want to see the night view castle, I recommend staying at this hotel. # Breakfast: very nice. we can enjoy it in the morning slowly. # Service: Staffs are very nice and friendly. # Dinner: We also have a dinner (Michelin 2021 restaurant: Gourmetrestaurant Weinhaus Uhle) with our 3.5 years old daughter. The bike storage is accessible with the room key which gave us more freedom in comparison to other hotels where you have to get the key from the reception. The rooms are small but are clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is phenomenal - very good selection of food. And the location is perfect whether you want to do more biking or explore Schwerin by foot.

For a longer stay some more closets would have been nice (only 1 x 60cm closet per bed room and a drawer chest. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The location close to the Schwerin lake is nice (even these are not the lakeview house, but the second row of houses) and the distance to the City is about 30 minutes.TorstenJapan

The distances to the city center and the castle are relatively short, as you will be there in 5-10 minutes. The hotel is a bit old but honestly I think it is not bad at all for the price you pay.
