Lovely. Nice people, food, shopping and entertainment.
Lovely. Nice people, food, shopping and entertainment. Great transport links between the airport and the city. Express train is 13 euros each way. Once on ghe Metro you can use a card to tap in and out. Plenty to do for a long weekend. One word of caution, we went in April 2024 and the mosquitos were a nightmare. Bring sprays and don't open the windows. Cover arms and legs in the evening. There are loads of good restaurants around the Duomo. Luinos is good for a street food lunch. Don't worry about the queue because it moves quick.

Milan is a great city for shopping, comparable to New York City. You can find everything and shops are open until late. There is some historical sightseeing, but most of the tourism in Milan is about shopping or visiting cultural venues, and modern exhibits like the Prada foundation, Palazzo Reale, and the Trienalle.

Milano is a historical place that one has to see it. The Duomo is million $ worth seeing and there are so many other places to visit and get positive emotions from. I would gladly return to visit Milano - historical place but with a vibe of a modern metropolitan city.

Milan is a city that is best as a base to visit other attractions. We visited Verona, Lake Garda and Lake Como which are all very accessible and within an hours travel . One of our main reasons for visiting. We also went to the thermo spa whilst we were there which is worth a visit.
The Duomo Cathedral is exceptional and we went on the roof top tour which was magnificent with great views over the city. Although you can take the lift up so far there are further steep steps to climb and it’s a stepped decline down from the roof. Therefore, you need to be agile enough to do this.
Apart from the cathedral and the castle there isn’t a lot to do within the city. We took the open top bus tour and only got off at the canal. This was a stylish area with a bohemian feel and a great canal side market. Lots of eateries and coffee shops to choose from.
It is a real shame that nearly all the old magnificent buildings in the city area are covered in graffiti which gives the city a scruffy vibe.
They clearly have a problem with antisocial behaviour and groups of “pick pockets” are visible hanging around in the main tourist areas especially the main Duomo square. There is a heightened police presence . However, you do have to be vigilant at all times.

We have been coming to Milan for the past 25 years.
We have been coming to Milan for the past 25 years. The people are friendly and helpful, and Milan is a magnificent city. The food is top - top, from the best restaurants to the little neighborhood cafes. There are no bad meals in Milano, only better and best. There is so much history, but there is also so much energy and design to fill your days.

The city is actually great , not too much to do i think 4 days are enough to visit Milan , but there is so much to do near by , lago di como is 1 hour in train , I bought the tickets while i was in milan , they were only 10$ around trip , Genoa about 70 minutes train and we whent to venezia which is about 2:30 hours way , so you can use milan as a base to visit those places
The location of Hotel Bristol is excellent. It is right next to Milan Central Train Station. There are metros, trams, buses nearby. Airport shuttle to MXP is conveniently located by the train station and runs every 10 to 15 minutes and it takes a little more than an hour to get to MXP. You can take the trains to various cities in Italy and other European destinations. Our excursion bus also leaves from the corner of the train station.
The hotel was much nicer for what I expected for one star and this price in Milan. I was also upgraded for free to a better room, so my gratitude to the staff. For the price and the service level I could not have wanted anything better. It was relatively quiet, very close to Milano Centrale railway station and the city centre, relatively quiet, with a good wifi network, and very pleasant staff. I would certainly stay there again.
The staff were amazing. Very helpful. The room was impeccable. Beautiful polished maple paneling in the room. Detailed features throughout that I enjoyed. The breakfast was amazing. Very nice selection of items. The breakfast hostess, Angelina, was so kind and helpful. She made some of the best cappuccinos in all of Italy. If ever in Milan again, will most certainly stay there again.
The hotel (lobby at least) was very modern and appeared new. Staff were nice enough and even though a little far out from the main city centre, we had a car so was only about 15-20min drive to main centre. Bed was huge and comfortable and plenty of available parking..was okay enough for 1 night but probably wouldn’t stay here again if visiting Milan..
Location was perfect! In the heart of Milan, was able to walk to the duomo and designer shops. Stayed two nights and they made our bed, after the first night which we appreciated (stayed a month in Italy and one of the few places we stayed did this). Stored our luggage for us after check out. Very clean, bathroom shower was spacious.
Starhotels Collezione in Italy is absolutely wonderful. Rosa Grand is right behind the duomo, so it’s easy to get to places by foot or by metro/tram.
We had 2 joining rooms for a family of 4. With Milan as our last stop and all of us being a bit exhausted, the rooms provided great comfort in between our multiple adventures.
Great location in the heart of Milan. Really superb location with key restaurants, shops and attractions within blocks of the apartment. It is fabulously furnished, with a super comfortable bed and has a really boutique feel about it. One of the best breakfasts we had in a hotel travelling Italy for 3 weeks.
Totally impressed with Hotel Teco. The location was perfect, very close to the Milan city centre and the public transport. The rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We especially loved the fresh fruits from the breakfast. Would definitely stay again during our next visit to Milan.
I liked the position of the hotel, near the city centre and the main station of Milan.
I loved my stay in Demidoff Hotel Milan. I loved the staff, very nice with me and my friends. The rooms were very cleaned and bigger than I expected!
We will coming back during our next stop in Milan!
Located in heart of the city centre only 20 minute walk from train station, It was very convenient for me and also I could drop my bags off at the hotel early in the morning before check in time which allowed me to enjoy the city of Milan for a day. I really loved staying here
I liked the location of the Hotel, it was very central and only a few minutes away from the centre of Milan.
Also, the Hotel was able to arrange transport back to the main central train station on Easter Sunday (a day on which usually nobody works in Italy).
The view of Milan, the convenience of being as close to the train station as possible, and the accommodations were great. My wife and daughter were thrilled with everything and were very happy with our YLS room for the last night in Italy.
A simple hotel equipped with everything you need to explore Milan. The location is great - not far away from the central train station. The city centre can be reached easily by metro or bus. A great quality / price ratio.
the place looks wonderful. nice details, bathroom, nice smell, lovely books and decoration. you really feel in Italy. Very elegant neighbourhood. Good price. Definitely you should stay here when you are in Milan.
the hotel is very beautiful, really great design!
across the street from the metro station, which make it very easy to travel in Milan and to other cities in Italy.
the staff was very kind and helpful. thank you!
it was my third hotel in Milan and definitely the best one. Ratio price/quality or price/distance from city centre is very high. I will come back for sure. We were on the highest floor therefore we even saw Alps!
Beautifully renovated reception and bar on the ground floor. Easy location to access the central station and other parts of Italy. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very clean.
Very good location on quiet street in walking distance from Milano Centrale station. Small but neat and comfortable room with new bath equipment (it is important for Italy).
